It’s been widely reported that youth sports is now a $50B+ industry 🤯. Diving one level deeper into the data from our friends at the Youth Sport Business Report, a few eye-openers that really caught my attention…

💰 The average family spends ~$1,500 per year on youth sports
🎽 Of that, $250 per player is spent on team uniforms alone
🚀 Meaning the total youth sports team uniform business is a $7B annual spend

What has been covered ad nauseum around youth sports is category growth 📈 the move toward specialization 🏀 ⚽ ⚾ and the sometimes questionable actions that emerge from these heightened levels of competition 🤬. All valid topics, but you know what has not gotten enough air time??

UNIFORMS!

The single largest pain point for coaches and program admins, most of whom are volunteers/parents, already spending an average of over 3 hours per day on their child’s youth sports schedule!

Sizing, colors, logos, suppliers, deadlines—it sounds simple, but it can quickly turn into a full-time project. And most of the time, this work goes completely unnoticed.

Yet, uniforms matter more than we realize. For kids, pulling on a jersey is often the moment they feel like they truly belong to a team. It’s pride, identity, and community stitched into fabric. For parents, it’s a memory marker. For coaches, it’s one more thing to juggle.

At POINT3, we believe uniforms should bring teams together—not create extra headaches for the very volunteers who give so much of their time. That’s why we simplify the process and eliminate the hassles so coaches can STAY FOCUSED ON THE GAME and what really matters: mentoring and inspiring young athletes.

Have fun out there,
